Free To Be

Wonderfully written and reflective of challenges being faced.

Photos Worth A Thousand Words

she strolls

streamlets trickle

ahead of her

a heavenly glow

though alone

and somewhat frail

a portrait

of a younger, older woman

beaten by life

no longer

suffering from his moods

anger fits

her shoulders square

no longer clasped by chains

her clothing mimics

who she is in her visions

it doesn’t matter

what he thinks of her

she is free

to dress

in her stylish fashion

to listen

to French songs

to speak

her point of view

to touch

the hurting

to fix

the broken
