Hemi’s Hardly Horrible
At times we’re quite disturbed to walk into the room
Will Hemi be all wound up, like a big buffoon?
We sure do love him dearly, but at times we fear,
He’s running us in circles, he’s always grabbing a gear.
We’re unsure where that energy is from
But it seems to emit a super steady thrum.
From the time that he rises, till he goes to bed,
It’s like a tornado has been where he’s tread.
Should we take away food and maybe some water?
Probably not, it would just make him hotter.
Oh there are times when we just want to cry.
But we know it will pass in a blinking of an eye!
Yes, Hemington is a great child of just two,
And he needs to explore this place through and through.
Hemi is hardly horrible, a little askew,
and one sunny day we’ll have a break through.
He’ll smile and talk and discuss what he needs.
Until then, we’ll help him until he succeeds.
No, Hemi’s hardly horrible, but I think all agrees,
If this terrible twos – I can’t wait to see the threes.

thanks for commenting on Rosie’s post. What’s the point of a book review without knowing something of the author?
